Invoking a certain ‘70s black magic through ritualistic riff rock, Denimachine’s campy take on stoner rock has a melodic charm often missing from the acerbic genre. The group’s strong foundational rhythm section of pounding drums and punchy bass is met in full force by scathing guitars, and a towering voice that recalls a time when Ozzy was far more coherent. This, of course, can all be found on the group’s incendiary self-titled EP.
