Though Kirk Opheim is a veteran of Edmonton’s hardcore punk scene (remember Fuck the Tundra’s furious performance at Sled 2010?), here he is behind a laptop, collaging some of the most involving, psychedelic electronic music going. Like a more rhythm-heavy version of The Field, he crafts tricksy, shifting beatscapes that dazzle and disorient.
